The Day the Cat Applied for a Job
Feb 4, 2026
Benny the cat had a problem. He was tired of chasing laser pointers and sleeping in the sun all day. “I need a career,” he declared, tail high in the air.
So he did what any ambitious feline would do, he applied for a job.
At the local office, he strutted in with his resume, which mostly read:
Skills: Napping, Eating, Knocking Things Over
Experience: Professional Window Watcher
The receptionist blinked. “Uh… we don’t really hire cats,” she said.
“No problem,” Benny replied, already eyeing the coffee machine. “I’m great at multitasking.”
By noon, he had accidentally sent an email to the CEO (mostly gibberish with extra paw prints), knocked over three pens, and somehow joined a Zoom meeting. Surprisingly, everyone laughed. The CEO looked at him and said, “You know what? We need more creativity around here. You’re hired, full-time morale officer.”
Benny purred. Not only did he get a job, but he learned a valuable lesson: sometimes, breaking the rules and just being yourself can open doors you never imagined.
From that day on, Benny was the happiest cat in the office, and everyone agreed, the place was way more fun.
Moral of the story: Be bold, be yourself, and don’t be afraid to shake things up, even if you’re a cat.
